This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I loooked at most of your portfolio as thumbnails as I've found that's a effective way to view a portfolio.
Your portfolio tells me very little about who you are as an artist. I dont see much individual style or vision in your figure drawings. I've seen a lot of these sorts of figure drawings before. To me, they aren't much different from the others that are applying.
The thing that shows your view point and your style the most to me is, [link] now, that isn't a figure drawing but it's what stands out the most to me. What you need to do is find out a way to blend THAT feeling in style into your figure drawings. For the sake of the portfolio, don't separate your independent work from your figure drawings. Try to make your figure drawings as relevant as your independent work. There should be a sort of transition between the two and right now I"m not seeing much of a relation. Your figure drawings are nice in some ways but when looking at them i see things that just look like they are incorrect.
I think you're on the right path, totally. BUT I think you really need to show the people on the panel who you are as an artist. Remember, you will not be there to defend your portfolio. Your portfolio should be every once of your soul summed up into about 25 pieces of art.
I am NOT who my portfolio was right now. But I was back then. And people do remember portfolios. You want to make an impression.
